Who We Are

RHR MISSION

Our mission is to deliver quality healthcare services to underserved communities regardless of location.

RHR VISION

We envision a world where no community is left behind and everyone has equitable access to essential healthcare services, enabling individuals to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.

Remote Health Reach (RHR) is a registered, not-for-profit NGO founded in Liberia in March 2023. Our organization was originally established under the name Africa Access Health, but we have since rebranded to reflect better our focused mission and geographical scope of reaching underserved communities in Liberia.

Since 2023, this approach has led to concrete results. Our patient-safety actions started with door-to-door outreach in Zingbor (Todee), continued with a rural facility dialogue at Nyehn Health Center in 2024, and expanded to the “Safe Beginnings” market campaign in Kakata in September 2025. With support from the African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA) and Catholic Relief Services (CRS), our World Malaria Day 2025 campaign reached more than 3,500 people across over 500 households in six high-risk Montserrado communities (Soniwein, West Point, Logan Town, Clara Town, King Gray, and Redlight).

The Liberia Malaria Youth Corps, launched on December 5, 2024, has mobilized 139+ youth champions across five counties, established three county chapters (Nimba, Montserrado, and Margibi), and reached more than 100,000 people with lifesaving messages on malaria elimination. Schools are now partners, with three Malaria & NTDs clubs established in three High schools in Nimba County, and the first “Quiz for Malaria” in Kakata, engaging over 300 students and teachers and strengthening ties between education and health.

For us, “Reach” is about bridging the gap between healthcare services and the communities that need them most. It’s our commitment to ensure that no one in Liberia is left behind due to their location.

Our Core Values

Dignity & Equity: We respect every person and work so quality healthcare is fair and reachable for all—no matter where they live or what they earn.

Community-Centered: We listen first and co-design with communities and local champions so solutions fit daily realities and last.

Integrity: We are true to the principle of honesty and ethical conduct in all of our actions.

Accountability: We hold ourselves to our mission and to the people we serve. We share progress, invite feedback, and follow up.

Evidence-Based: We use data and lived experience to guide decisions. We measure what matters, learn from results, and adapt to improve.

Innovation: We reimagine how care reaches people, testing simple, fit-for-purpose ideas that close real gaps.

Service Delivery: We go beyond barriers to bring health closer—showing up, following through, and focusing on practical results.

Local Empowerment: We strengthen local ownership. We equip communities and healthcare providers with clear information, tools, and support to health systems and save lives.

Our Work

Social-Behavior Change Communication (SBCC)

We promote healthy, timely care-seeking through evidence-based messaging—community dialogues, radio, and youth engagement—to counter myths and sustain demand in hard-to-reach communities.

patient advocacy

We promote patient rights, dignity, and safety by providing information to patients and supporting effective feedback and grievance systems.

community health

We work with local health structures to bring essential services, health education, and referrals closer to hard-to-reach communities.

Malaria & Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)

We support prevention, timely testing, and complete treatment—promoting net use, IRS, vaccination uptake, and integrated NTD campaigns.
